The fearfully uncomfortable knowing

by | Apr 12, 2021 | Faith, Family | 4 comments |

In the past several years, I’ve written a few posts about my husband’s deceased daughter—a recent mention here. Today, I tell the story about how learning to love the daughter I never met led me to the fearfully uncomfortable acceptance of the cross. The post went live on Mockingbird’s site last Tuesday: https://mbird.com/2021/04/the-fearfully-uncomfortable-knowing/

Many thanks to Mockingbird for publishing my reflection and to my understanding pastor, sisters in Christ—you know who you are—and my very patient, loving husband Keith.

And to Gretchen.

Thank you, Vonetta. The Book of Job provides an excellent frame for human experience.

Carole, your personal witness of faith blesses me with strength. God’s Word as He walks in our lives always seems to find a special place to find us. God’s peace to you and your loving husband.
